We have known Maxine for about 10 years- oh my goodness, has it really been that long?!? Cam & Maxine worked on staff together at Celebration Church. So we have learned that we love everything about her at that time. Kolton, we’ve just recently gotten to meet and start to learn about all the things Maxine loves about him, which turns out, is a LOT!
Kolton & Maxine went on their first date to Fix.Coffee in Regina. Unsure how it would go, they both got their coffee and ended up talking for over 2 hours. They didn’t realize how long they had been talking, but it was so long, in fact, that Fix was closing, and they had to move their date outside. After Fix closed, they wandered over to Victoria Park, where they talked for another two hours.
Before going on this date, Maxine had asked a friend to drive by to make sure that she hadn’t been murdered. So her friend continued to check in with text messages, to which Kolton finally grabbed her phone and texted back, “Still on date. Going OK.” As if that doesn’t sound exactly like what a murderer might text… But thankfully he wasn’t a murderer, and things just kept getting better!
For their engagement session, we revisited some of those first date moments in downtown Regina. From a stop at Fix.Coffee to strolling through Victoria Park, the laughs were plentiful. When we arrived at Les Sherman Park, we had Kolton & Maxine hold hands and pray over their marriage. What a beautiful thing to stand back and witness, as they take this next step in their relationship.
Kolton & Maxine, we are so thankful that you found each other. To see the joy on your faces as you look at one another warms my heart. I can see in your eyes that you are each staring at the person that you have prayed long and hard for. We are so excited for you, and cannot wait for your November 2020 wedding!
xoxo
