This summer, like so many before it, has flown by in a blink! But the Jaarsma family wasn’t prepared to let it go just yet. We snuck out to Lumsden Beach with them, and captured some family photos before the weather decided beach days were over!

The sand flung around us like confetti, but the giggles were even more plentiful. Jonah has an incredibly infectious laugh. When he laughs, you can truly feel that it is coming from the deepest parts of him. Resounding from his mouth, all the way down to his little toes.

Avery, who also possesses a great laugh, is more of a fact man, especially when it pertains to anything number-related. You need someone to count to one hundred by 5’s, 10’s, 3’s, 7’s- he is your man! He has more math skills than any other five-year-old I know, heck, he has more math skills than me! But his sweet little face, in those adorable glasses- oh goodness, Avery is the cutest little walking book of facts you’ll meet!

They brought along their dogs, Ruby & Lexi, both Dalmatians, who joined in on the fun. Living up to their breed’s love of water, these girls zoomed along the beach. Chasing birds they had no hope of catching, all the while living their best beach lives.

After some convincing, we got Avery & Jonah into the water, and then it became very clear that they weren’t coming out again. Water guns turned to splashing, ending in sliding into the water and ‘monsters of the deep’, who would occasionally crawl out onto the beach for their next unsuspecting victim… Their giggles echoed across the valley as they ran up and slid down the slide over and over. Each was sopping wet, with those core childhood memories actively being locked away.

Jaarsma family, you already know, but we love you all so much! We consider it a special honour to capture your family memories as your Uncle and Auntie. I love that we have the extra special pleasure of using our gifts in this small way to serve your family and make memories together. Love you!!!
