There’s something so special about watching love grow through the many seasons of life. With Tyrel & Allison, we’ve had the absolute joy of walking alongside them through their engagement session, wedding day, anniversaries, and those fun just-because sessions. And now, stepping into this latest season with them which looks a little different. A little fuller, richer, and even sweeter because of one very special little girl: their daughter, Odette.

This September, we met up with the Lindskog family to capture their family session as a trio. While our previous sessions together have been filled with snuggles, laughter, and adventure, this one carried something new; the beautiful tenderness of parents who are so in awe of their daughter and the vibrant joy she experiences discovering the world around her.

Watching Tyrel & Allison as parents is so wonderful. We have always known them to be such gentle, genuine, tender and loving people. And now that same love has been extended to Odette. Watching the pride that Tyrel has as he holds his daughter is truly heartwarming. The smile that Allison has across her face is evident of the deep joy that she feels in motherhood.

Of course, in true Tyrel & Allison fashion, the session wasn’t without playfulness! Odette’s giggles (and occasional wiggles) had us all laughing as we tried to keep up with her curious little spirit. Whether it was cozy cuddles, twirls with mom, or those sweet moments where she grabbed onto dad’s hand, every part of the session reflected what’s most true about them- their love is not just shared, but has multiplied.

Similar to a previous session, they took some time to wear their custom Saskatchewan Roughrider jerseys. Each one carrying the jersey number corresponding to the year they became Lindskogs. The only difference is that this time, precious Odette had her own jersey to join in the Rider spirit!

Looking back at the years of photographing Tyrel & Allison, one thing remains constant: they have always been all in. All in for the adventure. All in for each other. And now, all in for their family. Watching them embrace parenthood is such an encouragement- a reminder that marriage and family are built one moment at a time, in laughter, in teamwork, and yes, sometimes in the chaos of chasing a toddler!

Lindskog family, thank you for inviting us to capture this chapter of your story. We love seeing how you’ve grown, not just as a couple, but now as a family. You are all so special to us! As we drove away after our final session together, we both could not help but getting teary eyed (who am I kidding, full-on crying). We have had the joy of walking through so much of your journey together and absolutely cherish our times with you.

As Sir Frederick Little Bear says, “The best adventures are not just about the places you go, but the friends you make along the way!” And you guys are some of the very best. We love you!
