We recently had the joy of photographing an extended family session for the Piluk family, a family we’ve known and cherished for about 20 years. We’ve had the privilege of capturing many milestones for Adam & Sarah since their engagement and wedding in 2020, and this session was another beautiful chapter in not only their story, but Sarah’s extended family.

The session took place outside the TC Douglas building on a very hot day, but the Piluk family were all smiles and completely nailed the entire shoot. Thankfully the trees surrounding the building provided some much-needed shade to drop the temperature by a couple of degrees.

Michael & Nancy, the proud grandparents, were at the heart of this family gathering. Their daughters, Sarah, Victoria, Amy, and Destiny, along with their significant others and children, created a lively and loving atmosphere. Sarah & Adam were there with their children, bringing their usual warmth and joy. Victoria & Shane had come with their kids and Shane’s mom, who was visiting from Australia, adding an international flair to the family gathering! Amy was joined by her significant other, Dylan, and Destiny with her husband, Nolan.

Despite the scorching heat, the Piluk family brought their A-game to the session. Their energy was contagious, and their love for each other was evident in every shot. The kids ran around, giggling and playing, while the adults chatted and laughed, creating a vibrant and relaxed atmosphere. It was clear that this family shares a deep bond, filled with love, laughter, and support.

The Piluk family also enhanced the session by bringing their favourite couch to feature in the photos as well. Providing a relaxed feel to many of the photos as Grandma & Grandpa got to hang out with their grandchildren on the couch.

Whenever you involve little children in a photo session there is a chance of dealing with tantrums, moods, and general craziness- but these 4 littles were a pure joy. It never hurts to have a few bribes and distractions on the go – whether that be snacks, the enticement of a spray park after the session, a ball to play with, or the always fun and adorable bubbles!

Throughout the session, we made sure to capture the entire extended family together. The sight of three generations standing together, smiling and enjoying each other’s company, was truly a beautiful moment.

As the session drew to a close, we felt a deep sense of gratitude for being able to document these precious moments for the Piluk family. Their love for each other made this session not only successful but also incredibly enjoyable. It was more than just a photo shoot; it was a celebration of family and the love that binds them together.

Piluk family, thank you for letting us be a part of your journey. Your trust in us to capture your special moments means the world, and we look forward to many more sessions together. Here’s to many more years of laughter, love, and beautiful memories!
