Is it just me, or does it seem that the older you get that a year can just FLY by?! I cannot believe that it has been one year since I met my niece. It feels like we just did her newborn session yesterday! Friends, my dear Avonlea is one!

Avonlea is one feisty little girl, with the sweetest smile, and those brilliant blue eyes. Her little mouth is home to several new teeth, which this auntie looooves. I don’t know what it is, but when kids get those big front top teeth, it is my absolute favourite. Somehow it just amps up the cute factor that much more! These things, paired with her amazingly adorable ponytail, a la Pebbles Flintstone- like, c’mon- save some cute for other kids!

I got to spend the morning with Avonlea (and her parents) commemorating her first birthday. She was having a watermelon themed first birthday party, and though we tried to tempt her with a cake smash, she wasn’t into it. Avonlea was way more into the watermelon that her mom brought as a backup plan. I’m pretty sure she ate her body weight in watermelon, it was astounding to see!

Avonlea, you are so dear to us. Your smile lights up a room. Your little giggle (especially the fake one) brings the biggest smile to my face. Our kids are so in love with you, and we are all so thankful that you are in our lives! We cannot wait to celebrate many more birthdays with you. We love you, sweet girl!
