We love spending time with the Schoenroth family! I (Courtney) have known Kent & Natashia since I was a teenager in youth group and they were some of my youth leaders. Which, as you might imagine, was more than just a few years ago… considering that we have our own teenagers! It is always great to see Kent & Natashia and spend time catching up on what is happening in each other’s lives.
The Schoenroth family loves to hike and backpack. This summer they tackled a big trip to the Tonquin Valley in Jasper National Park. Their pictures were so amazing, and I am in awe of the spirit of adventure this family shares!
On the day of our session, it was Kent & Natashia’s 24th wedding anniversary. What a beautiful opportunity to reflect on all that has happened since their wedding day. To see the blessings that have been bestowed upon them, and the things that they prayed for all those years ago coming to fruition in their life.
As children often do, their kids have grown so much since the last time we saw them! Their daughters are now both in high school, and their son is in the latter half of elementary school. It is crazy and always takes me by surprise how very quickly time flies!
Of all the pre-teen boys we’ve photographed, Oliver is the only one who stands out because of his unique love for taking family photos. He comes prepared with ideas for their family to try and will lean into ideas that ‘just come to him’ as we progress throughout the session. I can also guarantee that he is one of the only boys his age who has ever told us, “I don’t like the process of picking out clothes for the family photos, but I really like getting the family photos taken!” He kept us laughing throughout the entire session, that’s for sure!
Schoenroth family, thank you for allowing us to capture this moment in time. Thank you for bringing joy and immense energy to every session- even if it is creative energy that adds a sprinkle of laughter, or flowers! We cannot wait to catch up with you all next time!
xoxo
Cam & Courtney
