Rain loomed over the city, with the threat of downpour throughout the morning. Ashley got ready in her suite, the weather being the last thing on her mind. It was the day she would marry her love, and that was her focus. She was a vision in her gorgeous Morilee by Madeline Gardner wedding dress. Ashley’s sister and matron of honour, Audra, carefully hooked each white button down the back of Ashley’s dress. Audra beamed with pride as she gazed upon the beauty of her baby sister, now a beautiful bride. Ashley’s niece and maid of honour, assisted her in putting on her navy lace barefoot sandals. Ashley’s hair was delicately pinned back, with her grandmother’s blush pink brooch worn as a beautiful accent.

 

Though it was cool outside, the DoubleTree Regina was filled with the warmth of love for Scott & Ashley. As he patiently waited, Scott stood at the end of the aisle, staring at the double door. The doors swung open, and in stepped Ashley. She walked down the aisle with her sister, towards the man of her dreams. They embraced at the end of the aisle, as Audra carefully gave Ashley’s hand to her soon-to-be husband. Their officiant, Barbara Jones, read a heartfelt poem to honour the memory of both of Scott and Ashley’s fathers. Chairs were left for each of their fathers next to their mothers, each seat adorned with white roses. As the most important people in their lives looked on, Scott & Ashley stood hand-in-hand and pledged their love for one another.

 

Scott & Ashley worked so hard to plan the perfect day, and every detail came together seamlessly. It was a day full of joy and laughter all around. We had so much fun with the wedding party! Ashley’s sister and niece stood up with her as her co-maid and matron of honour. Standing with Scott were two of his good friends as co-best men. It was clear that these people are so special to both of them. There was laughter, a few tears, and many toasts offered by their very supportive crew. The group of people there to support and encourage Scott & Ashley on their wedding day was astounding. Bridal party, it was such a pleasure to work with a bunch so committed to supporting their loved ones! Thank you!

 

When we first met Scott & Ashley, they shared that they have always said ‘Love you to the moon & back’ to each other. The other would then respond with ‘To Infinity and Beyond’. They chose to incorporate this saying into their day in many ways. My absolute favourite though was a tie clip that Scott wore all day, close to his heart. Couples who are head-over-heels in love make our job so much easier! Through my lens, I was able to see them whispering “I love you” back and forth throughout the entire day. That love is exactly what gathered everyone together to celebrate!
