Last weekend, we had the incredible honour of capturing Remi & Celine’s Regina wedding celebration with their families. This adventuresome couple had previously eloped in the breathtaking mountains near Canmore, Alberta. Alongside their talented photographer, Kalla Ramberg, and their Justice of the Peace, they hiked into the mountains to get married in one of their happy places. There were no nerves, no onlookers, just the two of them sharing their vows and creating an unforgettable moment.

Back in Regina, this past weekend, Remi & Celine gathered their loved ones to celebrate their marriage. The day was perfect- filled with laughter, joy, and the warm embrace of family and friends. Celine wore her stunning, Canadian-made Kathryn Bass Bridal gown, and beneath it, you could see her white hiking boots peeking out, just like she had worn on their elopement day!

The celebration occurred at the magnificent Holy Rosary Cathedral on 13th Avenue in Regina, a venue that provided an elegant backdrop for the day. As the ceremony began, the grandeur of the cathedral, with its soaring ceilings and intricate stained glass, added a timeless and sacred atmosphere to the proceedings. The live music, a beautiful touch, resonated through the cathedral, filling the space with melodies that perfectly complemented the couple’s love story – including a beautiful rendition of “Simply The Best”.

Remi & Celine both have large families, and you could feel the love and support surrounding them throughout the day. The sense of community and togetherness was palpable, as family members came together to celebrate this special couple. The warmth and genuine connection that Remi & Celine share was evident to everyone present. Their smiles, laughter, and the way they looked at each other told a story of deep love and partnership.

As Celine walked down the aisle, the sunlight filtering through the stained glass bathed her in a soft glow. Remi’s face said it all, watching her approach with pure joy. Even though they were already married, this moment, watching his wife walk down the aisle toward him, her hiking boots peeking out occasionally beneath her elegant dress, was a moment of genuine joy and love.

Following the ceremony, we moved outside of the cathedral for the family formals. The large and gorgeous architecture was a beautiful backdrop for the family photos. You could tell that these families have a good time together. Each person was filled with smiles and laughter as they gathered around Remi & Celine for these cherished photos.

We spent some time with Remi & Celine outside the cathedral as well before moving on to another location. You simply cannot pass up the opportunity to shoot outside of one of the most iconic cathedrals in Regina.

As the afternoon progressed, we moved to Les Sherman Park, one of our favourite outdoor locations. We love the way the light filters through the trees and the foot traffic is so minimal that it feels like we have the area to ourselves!

These two were so much fun and were so at ease- every pose we put them in felt so natural. I honestly don’t know how we find couples that make everything look so easy! Whether it was walking through the park, dancing under the trees, or even going for a lift – this couple was up for it all and did so with so much grace. Not only that, but their connection, joy, and naturally playful spirits were evident in every frame we captured. These two are indubitably in love!

Remi & Celine, your wedding day 2.0 was such a beautiful celebration of your love! Thank you for trusting us to capture these memories and for inviting us along to celebrate with you and your family. We always count it such a blessing, honour, and privilege to be invited into the family, and to be trusted to capture one of the most important days of your life. Your adventurous and joy-filled relationship is beautiful and we are so excited for what is in store for you on the many adventures to come!
