Today I realized that we have photographed this family each of the last 5 years! I’m so thankful that we have been able to celebrate some major milestones alongside them in their lives. The birth of their adorable son, Shepherd, his first birthday, and documenting as he has grown over the last few years. This year, we planned to take photos in their new home, that is currently being renovated by Trademark Homes in the Crescents area of Regina. Unfortunately, Shepherd wasn’t feeling too well, so we quickly changed plans and headed out to their current house in Lumsden. But that is a pivotal part of parenthood- always having a contingency plan!

While our plans changed venues, Dionne mentioned to us that she had hoped to have a session with their tree, maybe next year. But here we are a year earlier, getting exactly that! Shep perked up enough to take a look at the Christmas tree and play a little ‘I Spy’ with us on the tree. He pointed out some of his favourite ornaments before he laid out on the couch again, poor little sweetheart! Even though things didn’t go ‘according to plan’, how cute is this bunch? They still totally rocked it! Their dog, Blanche Devereaux, even joined us for a few photos. The picture with her eyes closed makes me laugh every time! Like she’s thinking, “Just LEAVE THE KID ALONE!”

The time that we get to spend with Timothy & Dionne is so refreshing. If you ever have the pleasure of meeting them, I can guarantee that they will ask intentional questions of you. Not because they are nosy, but because they are the kind of people who genuinely care about you. And they really want to know what is going on in your life. Timothy, you ask some hard questions, but I love that you don’t shy away from a tough question! You ask questions to really get to the heart of the matter. Dionne, you don’t shy away from the difficult. Every time we meet with you, we feel loved and cared for. Thank you both for your intentionality and the love you have for people!
