In October 2017, we had the privilege of helping our friends, Joel and Heather, announce their exciting news with the world. A baby was on the way! Cam and Joel have known each other since they were just little kids. Seeing our own childhood friends have babies is such a special thing. On May 22, princess Heidi made her grand entrance into this world. Heather had tried coaxing Heidi to arrive earlier, but Heidi decided she wasn’t ready until 12 days past her due date. In true diva fashion, Heidi arrived fashionably late and came when she was darn well ready!

 

Cam & I have loved this girl long before we ever met her face-to-face. When we met her in the hospital- oh boy, we fell even more in love! Our kids absolutely adore her, especially Judah- who loves all things baby these days! Seeing her full head of hair, complete with the most adorable little curls (just like dad’s), and that perfect little face- aaaack!!! We have nothing but love for you, little princess!

 

Heidi, you are one blessed little girl. Your parents are two of the most caring and intentional people that we know. They love you so much, my little darling. Your dad is going to teach you what it looks like to lead with a gentle and loving spirit. That mama of yours is going to model how to pursue your dreams with ferocity. You have grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and so many friends who love you. We will be here to support and pray for you as you grow. I may be biased, but I think you are blessed with one of the most incredible extended families around!

 

Joel & Heather, you are so loved and supported- now and always. We, along with a community of friends and family, love Heidi so much because we love YOU so much! Cam & I consider it an honour to walk alongside you as you raise Heidi. We will offer any help we are able to give along the way. You also have a life-long babysitter in Judah, once he is old enough! Having three kids of our own, I can honestly say that it does take a village to raise a child. We are so honoured to be part of your village, and we don’t take that privilege lightly. You have made our kids feel so special, and they all know how much Uncle Joel and Auntie Heather love them. We are beyond ecstatic to have the opportunity to return that favour! Love you guys loads!
