Snowy winter engagements, does it get any better?! We may not always equate the chill of winter with romance, well, at least I don’t! But I think we can all admit that there is something so magical about a fresh sheet of snow. AND, as an added bonus, the cold encourages people to get close and snuggly! We worked for quite a while to schedule Dave & Sarah’s engagement session. We planned for a fall session, but fall suddenly vanished out from under us. So their fall engagement session quickly became a winter one! I anticipated it would look beautiful, but I couldn’t fathom the magical snowy wonderland backdrop we had. As I write this, I have a huge smile on my face just thinking about it!

For us who live in colder climates, I think we can attest that minus 10 Celsius after fall feels very different than minus 10 come spring. Minus 10 in the spring, for some (or at least Cam & I) most definitely will mean shorts and flip-flops. Currently, minus 10 feels a bit cold, especially when you’re from Ontario like Dave. Sarah teases that Dave is still getting used to what real winter is like. Don’t worry Dave- I’m born and raised in Saskatchewan and as I age it shocks my body more every year! Dave & Sarah braved the cold with us, to get some beautiful engagement photos.

Dave & Sarah, we always say that it is so easy for us to photograph people who are genuinely in love. And you two are very much in love. You are some of the most naturally giggly people we have had the pleasure of working with and that was so much fun for us! We would ask you to do something, and you got so lost in the moment together. I think sometimes you forgot we were there! Which is 100% ok with me- I love that! In the way that you look at each other, you can see that your sun, moon and stars rise and set with the other person. Even though Sarah is a Harry Potter fan and Dave is not YET a fan (you’ll get there, I promise!), you two are absolutely made for one another.
