This last Saturday was the PERFECT day for a wedding, and we had the privilege of capturing Charlie & Brittany’s intimate backyard celebration. Their engagement session had already given us a glimpse of their deep connection and love, but their wedding day truly showcased the beauty of their relationship.

We were a bit nervous leading up to the wedding as there had been so much rain, and the forecast was calling for more. Thankfully, last Saturday turned out to be perfect. The backyard had dried up nicely, there was no rain in the forecast, and a slight breeze helped keep the pesky mosquitoes away while providing a pleasant temperature drop. The setting was extraordinary, with the greenery looking lush from all the recent rain, and the soft, golden light filtering through the trees created an ethereal atmosphere.

Brittany was calm and excited as she got ready, confident in her wedding coordinator’s meticulous planning. Everything was perfectly on time, and the atmosphere was filled with anticipation. Charlie echoed her sentiments, feeling a blend of calm and excitement. One moment that stood out for him during the morning prep was seeing the backyard transform into the ceremony venue. The chairs and the backdrop turned this familiar space into a dreamy wedding venue where he would soon marry his best friend.

As the final touches were being made, the couple took a moment to open gifts from each other. Charlie received a heartfelt card from Brittany and managed to remain stoic, though his emotions and excitement were clear as he read. Brittany opened a custom-made box, including a letter from Charlie and two ornaments to commemorate their first year as husband and wife. As her eyes welled with tears, she did everything she could to hold them back to keep her makeup intact.

The anticipation built as guests began to arrive, each one adding to the growing sense of excitement. The backyard buzzed with chatter and laughter, and we would be remiss to mention the live string quartet, who helped to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Any nerves Brittany had that morning completely melted away the moment she saw Charlie waiting for her in the backyard. For Charlie, seeing Brittany at the gate made his heart pound with overwhelming love and anticipation. As Brittany walked toward Charlie, each step radiated with growing excitement and happiness. This was it- their day had finally arrived!

The ceremony was a beautiful blend of personal touches and traditional elements. The vows they exchanged were heartfelt and genuine, reflecting their story, and the depths of their love and commitment to each other. Everything about their day was meticulously planned and beautifully executed by their wedding coordinator. After the ceremony, we spent some time with Charlie & Brittany, capturing them dancing in the backyard, strolling through a nearby park, and ending our time downtown near Crave, where they had their intimate reception. The newlyweds were radiant, and their love was palpable in every shot. Their joy was infectious, and it was clear how perfect the day had been for them. Every moment we spent with Charlie & Brittany exuded with bubbling joy and excitement.
