You may remember a certain little Alice from a few weeks ago- if not, make sure you check this out! After a LONG time of planning, secret Pinterest boards, late nights spent with a red hot glue gun and thereafter blistered/peeling skin, the day finally came to celebrate our birthday girl! I planned an Alice in Wonderland themed garden tea party for her and 12 friends- yes, you heard right- TWELVE 4/5 year olds. Thankfully the weather was cooperative and allowed us to actually have the garden tea party outdoors! I’m also so very thankful for my oldest son who doubled as our White Rabbit, and allowed those 4 and 5 year old girls to chase him around the yard for the better part of a half hour. He earned his party treats that day, let me tell you!

We had so much fun celebrating the birthday girl, but also the ‘unbirthday’ girls, as we read the story of Alice and her adventures. The girls tried their skills at the Queen of Hearts’ croquet, with the best news of all being that no one was clunked with a mallet, so I took that as a win! As our tea cups instructed us, we drank our ‘tea’ that made us shrink down shorter than flowers. But then our cookies instructed us to eat them, and they helped us to grow back to our regular size. Thankfully, everyone was back to their original size when the moms arrived!

Our birthday girl is now 4, going on 14. She is adorable. She is spunky. She is bubbly. She is a little mother hen to her older and younger brothers. She is a little bossy, well, maybe more than a little… But she has a beautiful little heart, and I am incredibly honoured to be her mom. Love you my dear, birthday girl.
