Winter can be such a magical time. Crisp air, frosty trees, the soft crunch of the snow beneath your feet. It can be a Winter Wonderland! But then it can also be crazy cold and more like a Winter Wasteland… Thankfully, our session with the Diacon family was somewhere in the middle – maybe slightly leaning toward the latter.

We found ourselves struggling to believe—can it already be four years since Kolton & Maxine got married?!?! And even crazier than that, their sweet “baby” Jubilee is no longer a baby but is now three years old!!! Seriously, time can we chill out for a second?!

No matter how much time has passed, we love catching up with this amazing family – even if the day we chose turned out to be a little chilly in Candy Cane Park. Jubilee arrived bundled up in a cozy jacket and fleece blanket, her cheeks rosy from the breeze, as her dad pulled her in a little blue sled.

Kolton and Maxine braved the cold with grace and even were willing to be jacketless for a few quick photos as well! They wrapped Jubilee in warm hugs, as we quickly snapped a few shots. Watching them together reminded us of the steady, prayerful love that brought them to this point—a deep love rooted in deep faith.

These colder sessions naturally become shorter sessions as everyone’s noses and cheeks get a little more rosey and digits get a little more numb. But we are so thankful for the time we got to spend with Diacon family! To end off the session, Jubilee even got to see (and wish Merry Christmas to) some horses taking people for sleigh rides trotting past.
