I love doing family sessions. It is so special to see the bond that families have with one another. And not only that, but to be welcomed in to capture those moments of them just being who they are. Being able to take a photo and capture the essence of who someone is at that point in time is one of the things that we love most about photography.

Cam and I had the pleasure of spending some time with the Schmidt family. They were gathered together in Regina to celebrate a milestone anniversary. Grandma & Grandpa Schmidt were celebrating their fifty year wedding anniversary! That is so amazing! I was beyond honoured that we could help them celebrate their golden anniversary with some updated family photos. We shared a lot of laughs together- especially when Grandpa was the one who incited a rousing round of “crack the whip”. Grandchildren were flying across the lawn of the Legislative Building, and Grandpa was the last man standing. We also had to make sure that Grandpa did NOT take off on the scooter that the boys brought… though he did try!

Schmidt family, thank you so much for allowing us to capture these memories for you. You were such a fun and energetic bunch! Grandma & Grandpa, congratulations again as you celebrate this incredible milestone. The legacy that is being passed on through your children and grandchildren is amazing to see!
