I have known the Koochin family for a long time. If I had to guess at just how long, I think it would be for about… 23 years! Holy cow! Traci & I were friends through elementary & high school, and I also played basketball with her sister, Tanya. Man, it’s crazy to think of us being friends at the age my oldest son is now- that almost feels like a whole other life ago! Though the wardrobe of my twelve-year-old self is making a comeback, so I don’t feel that old… Most days… : )

Their parents, Ken & Cheryl, are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary this November! How amazing is that?! When I asked what they remembered about their wedding day, Ken recalled that “it didn’t snow” which was pretty good, considering what we know November to typically be in Saskatchewan! Not just November- we can’t even say the same for SEPTEMBER this year!

Ok, can we just take a second to talk about this adorable little ham who stole the show?! Oh my goodness! From telling us about his treehouse to showing us how he plays air guitar, he had us all giggling! Not to mention melting us all at the sight of that dimpled grin!

Thank you, Koochin family, for inviting us to take some updated family photos for you. It is such an honour to be invited into a family to capture a particular moment in time. To see four generations together- including Ken’s mom, down to their newest grandson (who is a couple of months old!) was so special. Ken & Cheryl, just look at this group. There are so many blessings you have been given over the last 40 years. It is so incredible to think of where you started as you began your life together to the legacy that your family has expanded to today!
