From the moment we sat down with Jamie and Tina, we knew this wouldn’t be our typical wedding. We always ask how many people you are expecting to attend. They said, “Oh, about 500”. We were gobsmacked! Jamie asked us if that would be the largest wedding we’d shot. Yes, but only by a couple of hundred people… I don’t think I even know 500 people! But, suffice it to say, we were so excited to see Jamie & Tina’s wedding day unfold!
The day started at Tina’s parent’s house. Keeping with Chinese
Jamie & Tina included traditional Chinese tea ceremonies for both sides of their family – a ceremony in the morning with Tina’s family and one before the wedding ceremony for Jamie’s family. This was our first opportunity to capture this tradition and it is such an incredible sign of respect to their families. Such a beautiful ceremony to witness.
For Cam & I, the day was a little outside of our usual. The day before the wedding Cam woke up in a lot of pain. After spending most of Friday in the Emergency Room, he ended up having an appendectomy surgery first thing Saturday morning. Thankfully our good friend Krystal, of Krystal Moore Photography, was able to step in to help. Thank you so much, Krystal! It was a pleasure to have you along for the day!
Jamie & Tina, thank you for allowing Courtney Liske Photography to celebrate your wedding day with you. You are such a fun and loving couple. We couldn’t be more excited for the journey you have begun together. May your love continue to blossom and grow in the years to come! We wish you all the best as Jamie begins at Harvard this fall!
xoxo
