Friends, I am so excited to introduce Cooper to you! He is practically perfect in every way. These are our friends, Shawn & Terri, and their precious little boy. I was so excited when they asked me to do their newborn session!

There are some very special moments that I’ve captured in newborn photos, but below is one of my absolute favourites. There is one photo that includes his ultrasound picture, and baby’s very first picture. The road to becoming a parent isn’t always easy. For some, it is downright discouraging. For Terri & Shawn, it was an adventure, but an adventure that continued by delivering this precious gift. I can’t tell you how excited we were to see that first photo of Cooper. How much we prayed for this little guy. To see him here, where his mom and dad can hug and squeeze him. Dote on his every need. Man, heart- BURSTING!

Shawn & Terri are some of the most fun people I know. My kids ADORE going to their house, as you never know what kind of awesome things you’ll find. They have a special love of their oh-so-cool spray painted Brachiosaur toothbrush holder. Terri has a love of the very Canadian Hudson’s Bay Company pattern, I’m so glad we could work that into this shoot. And the glasses, oh my goodness! Working with Terri’s sense of humour is the most fun. I mean, if you know her, you can practically hear her laughter in looking at the photos!

Shawn & Terri, Cooper is incredible. What newborn comes out of the womb high-fiving? CLEARLY, his mama (the high-five queen) has taught him well already! Cam and I are so happy for all three of you. We cannot wait to watch Cooper grow into the awesome little man that I have no doubt he’ll be!
