Bill & Lindsay – Spring Wedding 2023

Jun 28, 2023 | Blog, Wedding

As Bill waited anxiously on a bridge near Lindsay’s parent’s house, you could tell that his emotions had ramped up. With each step Lindsay came closer to Bill there was a combination of excitement, anticipation, and relief as he knew he would imminently see his soon-to-be wife.

This moment right here is one of our all-time favourites – the moment before they see each other but then that amazing and emotional moment of initially seeing each other for this First Look. An intimate moment between this beautiful couple where they can take a breath, talk to each other, and enjoy one another with no one on-looking -except for maybe their own personal paparazzi 😉.

This is yet another one of those amazing couples where it feels kismet! From the moment we first sat down for their consultation, we could tell we were going to connect with this couple. And leading up to their wedding was such a thrill as they had put together a dream team of vendors (see the full list below), including the idyllic venue of the Wascana Country Club.

Bill & Lindsay’s wedding was a tapestry of emotions filled with laughter and some tears. Each shared special gifts with the other to open privately as they got ready separately in the morning. As Lindsay opened the gift from Bill she was moved to tears and also joy as she saw the gorgeous elephant necklace that Bill had given her. As Bill opened his gift from Lindsay, we were moved alongside Bill as he read his letter from Lindsay and proceeded to reveal a memory pin of his mother, whose birthday also happened to be on the same day. A reminder that she would be walking with him on this special day.

As we transitioned to the ceremony, watching these two share their vows with one another was completely heartwarming and emotional to experience. We often tell our couples that you should love someone so much that it makes you cry – and these two embrace that in the best way possible.

One of Bill’s best friends and his honourary brother, Mosi, officiated the ceremony. Having someone so uniquely close to them perform the ceremony is not something that happens at most weddings, but is such a welcome addition. As Mosi stood before them, his voice filled with emotion, he officiated their ceremony with an authenticity that connected with everyone in attendance, bringing a personal touch as only a close friend could.

The remainder of the day did not disappoint- from a photo recreation to a choreographer flash mob dance, the evening was filled with so much fun and laughter. Their love resonated throughout the space of the venue and with everyone in attendance as new memories were created. These extra elements were a metaphor for their journey together- a testament to their fun, love, dedication and shared rhythm.

As the night drew to a close and the sun began to set, we were able to steal Bill & Lindsay away for a few moments. Here in the quietness of the now deserted golf course, Bill & Lindsay could once again take a quiet moment for just the two of them to reflect on the day and embrace one another. Their hearts were full, brimming with gratitude for the love, support, and unforgettable moments they had experienced. They knew that this celebration marked the beginning of a new chapter, one that would be filled with laughter, shared dreams, and a love that would continue to grow with each passing day.

Bill and Lindsay, to say we enjoyed your wedding day would be an understatement! We have adored all of our time spent with you and we are so thankful we have gotten to witness your amazing love for one another in your so “uniquely you” and beautifully executed wedding. Thank you for sharing your hearts with us and making us feel as welcome as one of the family. As you continue in your journey together, now in marriage, may your love story inspire others (and yourselves) to embrace spontaneity, cherish every moment, and dance fearlessly into the unknown.

xoxo
