There are people that you meet and you know instantly who they are. You can feel their warmth, and sense how much they care. See their emotions worn on their sleeve, and know that everything is a truly heartfelt answer. Dustin & Kristyn are those kind of people.
From our very first meeting, we felt like we had known these two for so long. So it was no surprise when on their wedding day, we were welcomed as family.
Dustin & Kristyn went above and beyond to make their people feel special on their wedding day. Dustin gave each of his groomsmen beautiful new Fossil watches. Kristyn gave her bridesmaids personalized jewelry, and for the fathers, she had custom tie clips made, identifying each as father of the bride and father of the groom. Even as they considered the planning of the day for their guests, they took into account what would be most enjoyable for everyone. Especially the food- they knew it had to be amazing, as each of their mothers are amazing cooks, and it did not disappoint!
For her beloved, Kristyn got custom cufflinks made. One cufflink noted their initials, and the other giving a special nod to her incredible love for Dustin AND her incredible love for Harry Potter!
Dustin wore his grandfather’s wedding ring, and a pin with pictures of his grandparents walked with him throughout the big day. Kristyn also wore her grandmother’s ring, and carried photos of her grandparents on her bouquet throughout the day. No sentimental detail was overlooked with these two who are so incredibly intentional.
The Wascana Country Club’s Centennial Courtyard was the backdrop to Dustin & Kristyn’s vows. Dustin struggled to keep remembering to breathe, as he watched Kristyn walk closer to him. This was the culmination of everything they had planned for, the moment Kristyn had dreamt of. As they stood in front of one another at the altar, you could see the radiating joy across their faces.
As they exchanged vows, Kristyn seemed to feel time stop. While she knew they were being watched over by friends and family, they all faded into the background. The only face she saw was Dustin’s, and it felt like a juxtaposition of a huge, life-changing and momentous occasion that somehow only the two of them had a front row seat to.
This bridal party was SO much fun to work with! They were all goofballs, ready to have a good time, which is our favourite combination! For us, a good measure of the success of a wedding day is when your belly hurts from laughing so much!
Everyone who spoke about Dustin & Kristyn mentioned their heartfelt warmth and the depth of their relationships with so many close friends. How they are the ones you want in your corner as you walk through life. These two are truly gems, and they have each won the greatest treasure; each other.
Dustin & Kristyn, we are so thankful that our paths crossed. You two are absolutely perfect for one another, and we are so honoured to have captured the first day of your new beginning together. We pray life’s richest blessings over you as you journey this life together, and that your love for one another would only deepen and mature in the years to come. In every step you take, may it be together, through the good, the bad, and the ugly. May your hands be firmly grasped in one another’s, and may your love for one another continue to act as your own time-turner and have the ability to stop everything around you. Always.
xoxo
