We first met Megan when she was a bridesmaid for her friend’s wedding back in July of 2019. When we saw her name pop up in our inbox this spring and heard that she was planning her own wedding, we were so thrilled! After meeting Ben, we could see why Megan was head over heels for this guy. Ben & Megan are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet.

Ben picked out and bought the ring from Victoria Jewellers in Regina. Once it was ready, he had kept the ring hidden in the basement, waiting for the perfect time to propose. Ben didn’t know when that perfect time might be, but he had decided that he was going to use their cat to assist him with the proposal. Now to just find the right time… it’s a good thing time was one thing we had a lot of this past year!

Ben decided on the date and set the engagement plan in motion. Their cat, Banner, was still growing, so occasionally Ben & Megan would need to adjust the collar, and it was always easier to do this job together. One day Megan was relaxing on the couch as she watched TV. Ben snuck downstairs, pulled out the ring, and put it on the Banner’s collar.

Ben asked Megan if she could help him with the collar adjustment, handing her the cat. She kept watching TV, now petting the cat and did not notice the ring at all. Ben told us that he actually had to take the ring off the collar, and “hold it up in front of her face” before she noticed! Thankfully, once she noticed, there was a great big reaction and a firm YES to follow!

These two LOVE to laugh. Which is AWESOME- because so do we! I always know it is a good sign that we’ve found our ideal couples when all four of us are laughing so hard that we’re crying. We wandered together through AE Wilson Park, enjoying the gorgeous fall evening. Their engagement session was so much fun- we cannot wait to see what their wedding brings!

Ben & Megan, we are so excited for you! This season of engagement and wedding planning can feel both long but also like a blink at the same time. Treasure this time together as you plan the wedding details, and anticipate the rest of what your forever may look like! We are so thankful that we get to journey with you through this exciting time and cannot wait for your summer 2022 wedding!
