There is a palpable energy on the morning of a wedding. Two people that are preparing to share their lives, hopes and dreams with each other. There is a flurry of activity as each works to look their best for their soon-to-be spouse. Some may be overcome with emotion, while others are just excited to get started. The morning of Nathan & Allie’s wedding was no different. Excitement filled the air as they busily prepared separately for the ceremony.
In the week leading up to Nathan & Allie’s wedding, Regina and the surrounding area got some much needed, but very heavy rainfall. Nathan & Allie planned to have an outdoor ceremony in the Hidden Meadow at Country Acres near McLean, but Mother Nature seemed to have other plans. With more rain forecasted for the morning of the wedding, it was not guaranteed that the outdoor ceremony would be able to proceed. Thick clouds loomed, allowing an occasional sunbeam to peek through. But then- twenty minutes before the ceremony was to begin, the sky opened up, and the sun blanketed their guests in the warm sunshine!
The bridal party stepped out of the house and onto the steps. Nathan arrived first, after escorting his mother and soon-to-be mother-in-law to their seats. The flower girls made their way down the aisle before Allie’s entrance. Allie wanted to include her grandmother at the wedding and asked her to be one of the flower girls- it was so sweet! The sun was bright, though it was dull in comparison to Nathan’s face at the moment he saw Allie. She stepped down the house steps, arm-in-arm with her father, as he walked her toward her future husband. Nathan’s face beamed from his first glimpse, wringing his hands together as he fought back his tears.
Nathan & Allie, your day was so special and full of laughter! The weather turned out PERFECTLY- we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day! It was a day of joy and celebration of two lives becoming one. Cam & I are so thankful that you invited Courtney Liske Photography to capture your perfect day! We wish you the richest blessings as you begin your walk as husband & wife!
xoxo
