It’s officially FALL! While I love summer, the coziness of fall is my absolute favourite. The leaves are changing colours, and crunch beneath your feet. Pumpkin spice, apple or cinnamon-scented everything is in great abundance. The stores are full of boots, sweaters and fuzzy blankets- it is just the best season to cuddle up with your favourite people! In case you can’t guess, it is my favourite time of year!

Aside from all the amazing tastes and smells that come with fall, it also means something else: it is time for family photos! Seeing families year after year, and having a chance to document their growth is so life-giving for us. Your children continue to grow and to allow us to freeze this moment in time is such an immense honour!

As they grow, their personalities change and develop. They constantly have new favourites, are making new friends, an ever-evolving sense of humour- every moment is something new. Not only do we love seeing the kids grow, but we love seeing parents grow as well. There is a new level of fun and excitement at each stage of your child’s growth. Each stage is accompanied by new challenges of course, but I remember as our kids were growing up, I constantly thought, “Now this is the best stage!” with each passing age.

We have had the opportunity to capture the Korchinski family a few times over the years and it is always such a joy and privilege. This year they wanted to take in White Butte Trails and catch some of the beautiful changing leaves. While we might have been a little early for the changing leaves, that didn’t stop this kiddo from having a great time.

As she danced, twirled, and raced there was so much joy that pervaded her face. To top it off, look at the joy and love in her parent’s eyes as well. This family is filled with overwhelming amounts of it!

Kim & Lisa (and Valley too), thank you for once again trusting us and allowing us to document the three of you as you continue to grow. You are fantastic parents, raising such a fantastic daughter! You are so very dear to our hearts and we truly count it a blessing to have you in our lives!
